Primavera P6 Training

We provide hands-on training for both Primavera P6 client/server based solution and Primavera P6 Web. Participants will gain background knowledge in the concepts of planning and scheduling. All course content and workshops use the three basic elements of project management: schedule, resource and costs and are aligned with PMBOK Guide by the Project Management Institute.

 

Participants will create a project, add activities and relationships, customize activity views, assign resources, adjust the project plan to account for schedule delays and over allocated resources and analyze portfolios.

 

Advanced and mentoring courses can be conducted on a one-to-one basis to ensure individual attention.

 

 

Course P6-001: Introduction Primavera P6

This course provides hands-on training for Primavera’s P6 client/server based solution. Participants will gain background knowledge in the concepts of planning and scheduling. This three-day course leads students through hands-on workshops that create and track an entire project from inception through two progress updates. The course content and workshops use the three basic elements of project management: schedule, resource and costs.

This 1-day course provides the student with additional knowledge for Primavera’s P6 client/server based solution. Building off skills learned in the basic course P6-001, the P6-002 course covers advanced subjects such as Defining Project and Resource Codes; Resource & Role Analysis; Manual Resource Allocation; Updating Baselines; Duration and Percentage Complete Types; User-Defined Fields; Global Change and Transferring Data to Excel. Hands-on workshops enable students to apply skills learned throughout the course.

Course P6-003: Customised 1-2-1 Mentoring Primavera P6

This one-day mentoring session provides the student with a personalised customisable one-to-one training day in Primavera’s P6 client/server based solution. Building off skills learned in the basic course P6-001 and the Advanced P6-002 course, the P6-003 course covers advanced subjects such as Creating a Project with Project Architect, Portfolios, Earned Value Analysis, Storing Period Performance, Bucket Planning and Financial Periods. Hands-on workshops enable students to apply skills learned throughout the day.

Course P6-004: Customised 1-2-1 web-based Mentoring Primavera P6

This web-based mentoring session allows the student to create their own personalised training in Primavera’s P6 client/server based solution. Building off skills learned in the basic course P6-001, the P6-004 course covers advanced subjects such as Portfolios, Earned Value Analysis, Import/Export Excel, Top Down Estimating and Duration & Percent Complete Types. This course is based on individual modules which the student can mix and match at their own convenience to create customised training sessions which will be conducted at a time of choice via the internet.

Course P6-005: Web Access for Existing Users Primavera P6

This one-day training course provides up-skilling for existing P6 Client students and gives an understanding of Primavera'a P6 Web Access. This course builds off basic Client/Server Users skills. The student will learn how to navigate around P6 Web, create and customise dashbaords, set-up and analyse portfolios and use P6 Web Access for executive reporting.

Course P6-006: Web Access For Managers Primavera P6

This one-day training course provides the student with understanding of analysing and reviewing project and portfolio information in Primavera’s P6 Web Access. This course demonstrates easy-to-use and customisable web-based reporting features which will allow the student to make informed decisions about projects and portfolios. The training focuses on Resource Management, Resource Analysis, Portfolio Management and Portfolio Analysis. Students will also get introduced to Managing Issues and Risks in Primavera P6 Webb Access.

Course P6-008: Primavera P6 for Administrators

This one-day training course provides the student with the understanding of a variety of administrative tasks and functionalities within Primavera P6. The course covers all relevant steps in order to set up a database including database defaults and shows how to manage User access rights at different levels.
